What Is DealzScan and How Does It Work?

New here? This is the short version. For the full story see About DealzScan and How DealzScan Works — this page is a quick FAQ if you just want the basics.

What is DealzScan?

DealzScan is a deal-discovery site. It pulls in discounted listings from multiple retailers, scores each one so you can tell a genuinely good discount from an inflated one, and lets you filter by category, store, price, and score so you're only looking at deals relevant to you.

How does it find deals?

A pipeline runs daily and pulls listings from participating retailers — currently Amazon, with more retailers being added over time. Every listing gets checked for a genuine discount off the retailer's own stated price before it's shown as a "deal" here.

What does the score next to each deal mean?

That's the Deal Score — a number that lets you compare deals against each other, based on discount size, dollar savings, retailer track record, and popularity signals. Higher isn't a guarantee, it's a ranking tool. Full breakdown on the Deal Score methodology page.

Do I have to sign up to use it?

No — browsing, filtering, and clicking through to deals is open to everyone. Subscribing to the email newsletter is optional, for people who'd rather get deals in their inbox than check the site.

Does DealzScan sell anything directly?

No. DealzScan links out to the retailer's own site for every deal — you buy from the retailer, not from DealzScan. Some of those links are affiliate links; see our affiliate disclosure for how that works and what it does (and doesn't) affect.

What if a deal listed here is wrong or expired?

Every deal shows an Active/Inactive status, and prices can move faster than our daily pipeline updates. If something looks off, you can report it and we'll check it.
